Hi everyone...

I have joined the forum only today, but have been reading the various posts from a long period of time and has also helped me on many occasions especially for upgrading my FW.

Currently I need some help on downgrading my firmware. Originally I had R1N035 as my firmware which had many bugs which i then upgraded to R1DB001. Now I find that the sound output has degraded in comparison to what was there originally.

I have now known that FW R1CA021 is the best and most stable of all the firmwares available. I have read that it is possible to downgrade the FW.

I would be glad if I could have the procedure to be adopted for downgrading the same.

Thanx in advance

Srinivas

Hi Srinivas. I had the same issue as you, had the old original fw for years, upgraded via SEUS to r1db001 then realized the sound problem and downgraded to R1CA021 using Da Vinci. I can tell you the sound is not better now. There is a constant hissing sound like white noise, especially audible on soft songs. I think the best thing to do now for you is to change the acoustic files (no need to change the whole fw) using Far Manager. There is a thread dedicated to this and called Getting rid of hissing sound.
