> Internet in unlocked phones?
Bookmark topic
I got an unlocked w810i a couple of months ago and set up the WAP from the SE website. I downloaded the software and installed it and the internet worked just fine. I don't use the internet usually, but I recently noticed that the phone doesn't connect to the internet anymore. I went and downloaded the internet settings again and it still doesn't connect.
Any ideas as to why this is? Maybe I need to get the latest phone software? I did that not too long ago, so I'm not sure as to why this would be the case.

are you pay as you go or contract, if the first one do you have enough credit as some networks require a minimum amout to actually get on the internet

No its not a pay as you go account. I have a contract with AT&T (formerly Cingular). Its actually a package where I get so many bytes transferred a month, and I'll pay for whatever amount I go over.
When I last worked, I accessed the Google site just to so if it worked, and the page showed up just fine, now whenever I try to use an application like gmaps or Opera mini, it says it can't make an internet connection.

I checked the internet settings and there are 5 profiles:
Optus Internet
Optus MMS
Optus Zoo
Cingular Express (what it was on by default)
Cingular MMS
I tried all of the profiles and the phone gave a sort of error message when I tried to use the 3 Optus profiles. On the Cingular ones, the internet short key brings up the broweser, but then it says "The Optus Zoo Portal is currently experiencing difficulties. Please check back soon."
and then theres a option for "go back to zoo home"
There is a "play now" button in the main menu, when selected pulls up ringtones that I can download.
