Hi,

I've got a K800i with firmware CXC1250214 R1ED001.
If I choose Update Firmware, it tells me that my phone already has the latest software but I know much more recent versions exist. What's the best way to update the firmware?

I bought my phone sim-free and it doesn't appear to be branded, so why won't it let me update the firmware directly from the phone itself?

Can I update it just by using the Sony Ericson Update Service (SEUS) or do I have to first use firmware from wotan etc?

Also, whats the best way to preserve all my settings and contacts between firmware updates?

sadly, wotan is the best choice atm. SEUS is crazy sometimes.
