thats like swapping a designer multi purpose top of the range suit for a Dinner jacket. only does the one thing and stands out but doesnt actually look that good.

i know p990 isn't the smartphone we all hoped for.
but no 8800 (battery is rubbish, sound quality is rubbish, slide looks solide but i got some back for repair)

I know it's a bit stable but I don't think it is worth at this stage. Sure you're losing on smart features but that's about it.
Built quality sucks on the p990i when compared to the 8800 and also you don't have to worry about stability issues.
I skipped the p990i and am hoping for the announcement of the "P3" or the Nokia E90 is going to be my non Ericsson/Sony Ericsson in 9 years.
I actually love the "empty" 8800 for its quality materials, design and compact size.
