> k750i unlock code without SIM

I received an unlock code for my K750i from my network provider.
The instructions say turn on the phone WITH MY SIM INSIDE then hit select ESL, ECK, enter the unlock code, etc.
Quick question - can this be done WITHOUT that network operators sim inside. I.e. can I use the code to unlock it without that network's sim.

no i dont, i have a k750i tranced
i have had a few w810is that i reflashed, it worked on them and several other
phones ive had

the only time you need to have a sim card in the phone using the code is when locking the phone to a specific network provider, but when unlocking you don't need a sim card in the phone.
