and that is u can search a contact only by its 1st name, when the guy on phonearena described this flaw in its video all my dreams of owning a p1 got shattered .guyz i would request to correct me or find me a solution if i am wrong.i have around 1100 contacts so the above mentione flaw will keep me away from P1.also i just hate the keypad why the hell SE had to do something like that why couldnt it make a regular keypad like the 990i obviously without the flip.
WILL THE P1 BE ANOTHER DISASTER FROM SE IN THE MAKING???

At least on my P990 I can choose to view a name by the first name or the surname. Are you sure P1 doesn't have that option? Because there are so many other name systems in the world rather than the European one, I'm sure they don't want to narrow down their target market to such a dismal few

It's hardly a disaster in the making for SE (if you couldn't).
'Hate' is also quite a strong term, isn't it? Have you tried out the keyboard on the phone yet? I *personally* prefer the keyboard on this to my P990i. If you haven't had a play with it yet, I'm surprised how you can hate it.

Hi Marc
Does the P1 have the facility to "Find" within the contacts database like the P990i eg put in "john " and it will find all references to john, johnson, Johnstone etc?
I have about 1000 contacts and I find this facility invaluable on my P990
