well, it SUCKS. its worse than my old p990i, and thats saying something, because that was pretty bad.

I did the full charge, next day, it died, so i put on charge again yesterday during day, full charge, its back on charge now already. And this is WITH OUT heavy usage.

is there any other higher capacity battery for it? or does any one know if Nokia have plans to replace one.

I am really considering getting a p1i now like i had originally planned to. I got the n95 only because i got a good deal and i had wanted one for a little while, just didnt want to pay the full price.

I got it 2 or so days ago, the same day i got it, i see the p1 come hmmmm, what to do... not a bad phone over all, just the battery, slide mechanism (really annoying considering the phones price) and wifi problems (keeps saying gateway error)

qvga
usage? i would barely call it usage seriously though, a few sms sent, prob 30mins of calls, max, couple mins of camera/1 minute video, 2mins testing the 3d sound thing, trying to use wifi, wifi only actually worked for about 5mins.

it dies within one day. the day i got it, charged overnight, was dead the next day at night when i used it, put on charge for about 4 hrs, dies next day again.

@reg
you know how i feel then, i dont want to have to charge it so often though...

that doesn't sound right with that usage. I get alot more life than that with more usage though recently I started getting less than a day as I'm using the Nokia 770 tablet through the N95 3G data, but even then I'm still getting 10 hours or so

anyway, P1 is coming my way soon and then the choice will be to ditch either the M600 or N95, and that will be a tough choice

@Masseur,

That should be a no brainer. Bye, bye M600i.

yeah, I know. I guess I'm simply replacing the M600 with the P1, but I kinda got attached to the M600 over this last year

its will probably soon be forgotten once the P1 is up and running

@>500, I'd give a few more charge cycles and see how the battery life is then. If its still as bad as you say then get it replaced

dont think i will be able to get it replaced as it wasnt through networks.

my usage stats might have been a little more than that, but it defo wasnt enough to kill my battery this quick.

i dont think the cycles will make the battery life that much better, it will change maybe a little, but not enough to keep me satisified i think.

might sell it on, and get a p1i, its battery is huge, so hopefully i dont have a problem with battery life on that. i can live with out the vga video and 5mp cam and gps, havnt used gps at all yet and barely used cam. qwerty keypad is better for wifi usage any way, i use msn a bit, so helps when typing.

In the N95s defence, The weak battery was known about months prior to release, a spare cost's peanuts.
And arguably the battery life is directly related to a persons useage and the number of features on offer, The N95 has a LOT of battery consuming features which are tempting to make use of, with the inevitable result.

agreed, and indeed I do have a spare battery which cost me about £20

I prefer to carry USB sync/charge cables as I'm always near a PC but I still haven't found a usb charger yet, one of those thats standard USB at the PC end and splits into data and charge at the other end. I've only found them for the old style Nokia connector
