hi guys. i have just seen that thelink.co.uk have the k800i on vodafone pay as you go for £110. I have 2 questions:

1. Will the phone work with my current sim (I'm on a vodafone contract)?
2. Will the front of the phone say vodafone under the screen or will it be unbranded (and say "Cyber-Shot").

Thanks. I would have rang them to ask but they are closed at weekends.

welcome to esato
your vodafone sim will work in the handset, since its a vodafone handset. and yes it will have the vodafone logo on it.

Ok thanks. I was just wondering if I got a k800i on contract at a vodafone shop, would it also be locked on vodafone and have the vodafone logo on the front? Or would it be unlocked/unbranded?

most likely it will be locked to vodafone. Only O2 contract phones are unlocked, unless you get sim free version of the phones from a independant retailer.

vodafone also have the red and green call accept and end keys instead of the wap and activity menu keys

Ah ok. I don't really like the vodafone logo instead of Cyber-Shot but it's not really a big issue. I got my current k750i on an orange contract and that is unbranded and unlocked so was just wondering. I do know vodafone like to brand and lock their stuff more than others.

orange is the worst at branding though, so going for vodafone would be a better choice, but o2 have the least branding.
