Right, now normally I'd never do this as I believe things come up stopping people from sending payment. But a year and a half does take the piss.
He originally agreed to pay me early last year for an item I posted out to him first. I had previously delt with him so I trusted him, but I guess I shouldn't have.
Everytime I asked him for payment he said he hasn't got a job so he can't afford to pay for the Item (It's £25).
Now I spoke to him 2 weeks ago and he finally agree to send payment on Friday (13/07/07) as that's when he gets paid.
But i've recieved nothing in the post as promised, and have got no reply to my PM's, even though he has used esato since.
Now i'm hoping this will hurry up him sending payment.
Anyone else heard from him recently, or can get in touch with him?

hope you get your money though! Cant stand dishonest people!

I've been seeing - xdavex for quite sometime then . . . it's just unfortunate to see people struggling to pay something because they don't have a job . . .

I hope that he can pay . . still !
@adz - Well, that's a looooot of $$$$$$$$$$$$ matey

@ Jojo - I don't think it's unfortunate at all. In my opinion you don't commit to buying something unless you have the funds to. And considering the nature of the product, it wasn't necessary at all.
It has been a week since the "promised" payment, but xdavex still hasn't paid
I have tried to be more lenient, and given an extra full week to see if payment turns up, but there's nothing in my account.
2 weeks ago xdavex
promised to pay me on the Friday 27th July 2007, he hasn't.
I told him I have a direct debit coming out of the specified account he was paying into, on the Saturday. And if he didn't pay, I shall be charged £38 by Natwest for using overdraft. (it's an account I only use for trading so £0 was in there at the time).
I also told xdavex if he DOES NOT deposit the money on Friday, he would be left with the overdraft charge
in addition to the money he owes me.
I don't think this is unfair considering he's taken over 1 and a half years to pay me, and if he promised the money would be in by Friday, paying off a direct debit would be no problem. If he actually paid me in early 2006 as promised, we wouldn't be in this position.
xdavex you now owe me £25 + £38.
If anyone has any of his contact details please let me know.

I doubt it is very fair to ask for the overdraft bill you receieved, essentially that is entirely your fault. but it does seem a bit of a joke that he has taken so long to pay you in the first place.

Well I told him a week in advance that if he doesn't pay when promised, my direct debit will take the account into overdraft.
Every month I usually deposit £20 into the account to cover the direct debit.
If he has given me his word why should I deposit £20, if the day before xdavex shall be depositing £25?
I also told him a week before my direct debit was due, if he does not deposit the money when promised
he will have to pay the overdraft fee.
He had no objections to this... not a single PM saying "That's not fair" etc.
As it stands xdavex now owes me £63. To be perfectly honest I should increase this just for the fact he's taken over
a year and a half to pay me.
But... I'm a fair guy, and him paying £63 seems fair to me.

Well, the way I see it is, that unless you had no way to get the money required for the direct debit in time (this includes borrowing or taking money out other accounts, including savings accounts) then it is your own fault that the bank charged you. At the end of the day, no one else is responsible for your bank balance but yourself.
If you had no alternate option but to hope that dave deposited the money in time then fair enough, but at the end of the day, the chances of him actually doing this must have been slim.

im with KK on this one sorry.... xdavex should (i would hope) offer to pay KK the difference (charges) as its his fault that KK was short..... and a year and a half for £25....... OMG sort it out!! no time for excuses on this one its £25 and if you cant find that in a year and a half then surely you should refrain from trading
anyway hope this gets sorted KK,
all the best

I have money in various other accounts I could have transferred, yes. But I was hoping the £38 charge he would face would be enough to pursuade him to give me the money he actually
owes me. Turns out I was wrong.
At the end of the day, if he told me "I'm lying, i'm not giving you money..." I would have deposited money into the account" But he didn't, he told me money would be in.
He told me money would be in before my direct debit was due out, he was told if I was charged for an overdraft, he would pay the bill. He didn't object to this...it really is that simple.
If I promised to pay by a certain date if not, I face a charge for late payment... I would pay when promised, if not... pay the additional charge.
@ Gregface, I can see you POV here... but Like I said... he had no objections to paying the charge if I were to be charged... and therefore... in my eyes... he has to pay the charge.
If I had not warned him, and said you now owe me £38... that would be unfair. (Almost as unfair as taking 1 and a half years to pay for an item already recieved.)
However he had a weeks warning, about the charge... if he had told me he wasn't paying, I would deposit the money myself.
