Hi all,

since last Friday I am a proud owner of the P1i.

I am looking now for the BBC 4.0 client that should be supported by the phone. The Active Sync was pre-installed, but the BBC was not included.

Did somebody has it already ?

Thanks in advance.

Marc

Have you tried BlackBerry Connect v3.55, is it not working with the handset?

Hi,

3.55 (P990) and 3.50 (M600) versions are not working.

I think we have to wait until the official support page of the P1i is active.

Actually - I remember installing v3.55 on my P1i proto and it wouldn't work. Oh well, shouldn't be too long hopefully.

I've been trying to find the Blackberry Connect client for the P1i as well. I have an email in to Sony Ericsson so hopefully they'll have a good answer soon. In the meantime, please write back if anyone is able to get blackberry service working on a Sony Ericsson P1i. Thanks!

That's cool that BB came preinstalled on your phone. Where did you get it? Maybe we can contact them to obtain the software. Thanks!

A little FYI just in case those of you with BB Connect v4. wish to use it ...

Limitations of BlackBerry Connect on BlackBerry Internet Service 1.8 and 2.X

BlackBerry Connect software versions 2.1.X and 4.0.X
Samsung® devices with BlackBerry® Connect™ – 5 Messaging [CMIME] service books.
Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 5.0 powered devices with BlackBerry® Connect™ – 3 Messaging [CMIME] service books.
Nokia® devices with BlackBerry® Connect™ – 11 Messaging [CMIME] service books.
Sony Ericsson® devices with BlackBerry® Connect™ –11 Messaging [CMIME] service books.

Note: If the BlackBerry enabled device user has a BlackBerry Enterprise Server service book, this will reduce the maximum number of service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service by one.
