Hi guys,
seeing how a few Esatoians have receive their P1's already, I've created this topic for you to share your feedbacks on the P1i.

The very few people I've heard talking about theirs are happy with it. Good speed, decent battery life, efficient camera, lightweight etc...

What about you?

Also, I notice that the P1i does not have any kind of jog dial / arrow keys.

So, does it have short cut options - eg on a W880i if you press the arrow keys left, right, up or down you access 1 of 4 options (messages, browser etc).

Also, there does not seem to be a key that takes you into the Menu Screen. No doubt this can be done via the touch screen, but was just wondering if theres any way of doing it via the key pad?

What does this have with giving feedback?

There is a multiplication of P1i thread, I think you could have asked in another thread as this one was to be dedicated to P1i owners willing to give their views on their new toy.

Never mind.

Remirez, I thought that if people were giving feedback they could give some on the pro's or con's of not having a jog-dial / arrow pad.

(a) It does have a jog dial,

(b) It doesn't need an arrow pad on the flip, because there is no flip, and therefore no flip-closed mode to use the arrow pad in.

Yeah ok, as I said, never mind it's not abig deal.

However, I believe there is a jog dial on the P1 (on the left side).

Whoops! Sorry. Not Jog Dial - I meant joy-pad - like the buttons on the middle of the N95, or W880i.

Like I said, the joy-pad on the P990 is only for "flip closed" mode, something the P1 (like the M600 and W950 before it) doesn't have anyway.

The P1 has the M600's form factor, with virtually all selection done through a combination of the jog dial, the two arrow keys on the * and #, and the soft buttons on the bottom of the screen. It's fullscreen UIQ all the time, and quite usable one-handed, unlike the P990 - primarily because those soft buttons are at the bottom of the screen where your fingers are, rather than near the top on the P990.
