Samsung Targets UK No 2 Position

Samsung has received UK orders for over half a million of its first fashion five-megapixel camera phone, the G600, and expects to sell a million by the first quarter of 2008, the manufacturer has claimed.

UK director Mark Mitchinson said a single retailer had ordered 'in excess of 100,000 units' before the launch of the handset in August. 'This is a great phone with style and a five-megapixel camera.' Asked what will rival the handset, Mitchinson said the most obvious was the Nokia N95, which was a 'very different product'.

Thats right!

However, from this article its seems they might be pinning their UK success on their 5mp camera.

In fact in the UK, SE sell way more than Samsung at the moment which currently has only 3 phones in the top 20 contract sellers compared to SE's 7.

They've a long way to go.

There may be technical excuses for this but how come samsung can anounce and release a flagship phone in a month and it takes from june to october and maybe even november!

I'm already bord waiting for the K850! So I'm not, lol.

I was thinking the same but then I realised we know more about phones than Samsung so we more upto date with release dates for se than Samsung.

Thats probably right.

We seen K850i spyshots 10 months before it was even due to be released. We have no-one to blame but ourselves really.
