the screen is good but slow, and the battery is bad and limited features. no MMS, no softwear nothing special. the S100 is better but still no MMS or bluetooth and yet no cams availeble

Swazi,

I've never used the T100, but if it's anything like the Samsung SPH A-500, then I don't recommend it.

Yes the A500 has a huge, bright, colorful screen. And yes, it has polyphonic ringtones. But the phone's drawbacks far outweigh the benefits.

Here is just a short summary of it's worst problems:

Short battery life. I typically had to recharge the A500 everyday. Even then, I was always worried I would run out of charge if I used it too much.

Phone gets hot. The A500 would become uncomfortably warm after only like 7 minutes of use. This was a rather unsettling feeling, and I always ended my wireless web browsing sessions early because of the heat.

Shitty SMS interface. Get this: to read an incoming text message, you have to a) launch the web browser, b) Browse to the “Messaging” page, c) open the SMS in box, and d) open the new message. Can you believe how nasty that is? It really sucks compared to one touch “Read SMS now?” on the T68i.

Lack of normal ring tones. After about the first week, the novelty of polyphonic ringers dissipated, and I was left wanting for some typical ring tones. The A500 doesn’t have any normal ring tones.

Can’t import your own pictures. Unless you buy the $100 Samsung camera attachment accessory, there is no way for you to import your own pictures into the A500. I had hoped to transfer some of my own pictures that I had taken with my Cannon digital camera from my pc to the phone, but there is no way to do it.

Hope this helps you make your decision!

I think the A500 share some similar qualities T68iFan, so your points are pretty accurate.

I think perhaps the S100 is better (The battery life is a hundred times better than the T100)., but I haven't really fully used this phone. I know for a fact that the menu guidance is a bit difficult at first, but I think people can get use to that.

Oh, by the way, about the shitty SMS interface...

This is pretty much true on many other Samsung phones, even the old ones. You have to wait all day just to read a recieved SMS. It's quite annoying trying to open an SMS message, read it, and it tells you *Please Wait* constantly just to open a 4 character message.
