> S500 original menu, flash firmware?

My wifes S500 has this italian brand on it, on the menu there are 3 italian things she can go on, but with us living in america this is pretty much useless to us.
So i would realy like to return her menu back to the original one, someone mentioned a flash firmware, i have no idea what this is, can someone explain to me what this is and how i would go about doing this for my wifes phone and point me in the right direction.

the phones software contains the branding for the network such as the icons you mentioned. to remove those you need the generic se software in the phone. this is done by flashing the appropriate software. basically you overwrite the existing software in the phone with the new one.
search the forums for flashing or debranding and should find lots of information. as a start you can check out
www.wotanserver.com who are one of many places that offer this service.
