> K750i Number 3 key not working
Bookmark topic
Hope you guys can help here (and that this is in the correct forum)
About 30 minutes ago, my phone was in standby (with keypad lock on) when the screen suddenly lit up, as if a key had been pressed. Shortly afterwards, I noticed my number 3 key wouldn't work, whereas all the others do. I've read about how rows or columns of keys develop faults, but this is a single key that has just randomly stopped working.
A few minutes after this, I'd put the keypad lock back on and left it, and again the screen came on as if a key had been pressed. Wanting to know what was causing this, I left the keypad lock off, and after a short spell in standby the phone reckoned I had pressed the number 3 key, as well as down on the joystick (even though I hadn't touched it).
Could the two 'phenomena' be connected, and if so, how would I go about fixing the problem?

sounds like its been in contact with liquid to me which in that case its probably screwed...you could try a reflash if it isnt liquid though

It could just need taking apart and all it's contacts and connectors giving a good clean if it's not come in contact with liquid, give it a go if you feel confident in taking your phone apart. If not, don't risk it as you could break something whilst taking the phone apart, and take it to a phone repairer.

Thanks for the replies guys, the phone hasn't had any liquid damage that I'm aware of, and I gave the phone quite a good clean yesterday as it had acquired a lot of dust inside. It was several hours after this that the key stopped working.
I left the thing switched off over night, and turned it back on this morning and was greeted by a functioning-again number 3 key. I swear this phone's got a mind of it's own!

Anyhow, now it's working again I'll keep an eye on it and see if it behaves.
Once again, thanks for your input
