> Should I buy the P1i now
Bookmark topic
Currently I have the p990i, and honestly I havent had too many problems out of mine. I've read serveral post of others problem but I have been one of the lucky ones who havent had any complaint. For all of you who own the P1i should I upgrade now. I usually always have to switch phones when the newest comes out but Im stumped on this one. P1i owners do you like the way the qwerty keyboard is? Im a fan of the p990i style, im not sure how i feel about the letters not having their own individual keys...Thanks guys

imo u should try it on your own, cos our taste is really individual. imo m600 users would do apprecaite p1 keypad and features. so if u have the chance, take one in a shop, sit down and play with it, cos what fits ones need, maybe doesnt fit your one...

Try it out before you buy as suggested by Bobafett,
if you feel theres not much of a difference then stick to your P990i

encoded and BobaFett both of you make valid points..thanks for the input. Im on the fence on this one. By me living in the US i cant get my hands on one of this phones unless i purchase it. I dont even think they sell the m600 here in stores where i can try that keypad. If they do sell it its in the big markets like NY, and Chicago. Unfortnately I dont live there. So its like I gotta make my decisons thru others experience who have had both items.

@lcrkz
most m600 owners/reviews were satisfied with their keypad, many thought it was easy/fast to type with. And the p1 keypad is the same, so shouldnt be any different.

Why do buy this phone at high price? And this phone does not support US 3G and EDGE.

I have the P990 and my brother got his P1i Wednesday. I played with it for a couple of hours. Honestly, even he agrees, that the P1 is just a faster P990. The screen seems to be better on the P1. I personally like the Today screen and 15 shortcuts, quite handy. I use my P990 without the flip and the P1 is a little slimmer.
I really do not like the rocker keys on the P1. Typing on the P990 is easier (to me at least) on the small P990 keyboard.
I can get the P1 for a little over $500 but my P990 has been running fine these days and the P1 is not that big or revolutionary step up, like the P990 was when it was announced, for me to shell out my hard earned cash on it.
My $0.02's worth.

P990 at least has several advantages. It supports 8 GB MS duo pro (which is cheaper than M2 and available now) and has a qwerty keyboard and camera lens cover.
