Does anyone have a possible explanation as to why a song will not play through the speakers on the phone but will play through the earphones that came with it. And it is a cingular branded w810.

Mine is Cingular branded. Never had that issue. Are you talking about the radio? For the radio you must have the ear piece connector without the ear piece to listen with speakers.
Now if it's MP3 your talking about, I have not the slightest idea of why it will not play through speakers.

No, it's not the radio. It's just one mp3 file. It plays fine when the headphones are attached but through the speakers it's just static and beeping. At first I was thinking maybe the bitrate had something to do with it but I don't think so.

My cousing has a cingular debranded (flashed) 810, and he has those problems when he disconnects the earphones, like if the phone does not recognizes when the handsfree its unplugged. I told him to check the profiles, and to configure it to set the handsfree profile and the normal profile. i don;t think he has those problems anymore.

Hi. Had a similar problem with my K750 for a particular song of Dj Tiesto.. It didn't play through the s[eakers- just had some some beeping very high freq notes but did fine through the earpiece...
This may be caused by a high encoding rate - try changing it to 128 or 192 kbps - try to change it and see if it works!!
Btw in my case couldn't get it to work.
