Another week, another wild iPhone rumour. This time it's Carphone Warehouse that's been fanning the flames
Hold the (i)phone: Carphone Warehouse has posted up a blank 'Coming Soon' item on its webpage. Heart not racing? Let us tell you then that the URL contains the information: 'manu=APPLE' and 'hand=IPHONE'. We smell a fresh iPhone rumour.
Sadly there's no date attached to point to the UK launch but others have been getting excited, saying the source code contains the word 'O2'. And we can confirm it does, but then it also includes the words 'Vodafone', 'Virgin', and every other network named in the race to snag the holiest of all mobiles.
The page isn't live yet and there isn't anything on it other than a blank template, but a site-specific search for iPhone using Google turns up the revealing URL plain as day.
Is this the final conclusive proof that iPhone will be a Carphone Warehouse exclusive, or just wishful thinking on the part of Mowbli's webmasters? Find out in the next thrilling episode of: iPhone Rumours.
