> K800i Bluetooth non-existant!
Bookmark topic
Hi all, this is my first post here
I am a convert from Nokia, I have discovered how great SE are!
I have just got a K800i, and I love it, but the Bluetooth doesn't work at all.
When I turn it on, in the Connectivity menu, it says "Bluetooth turned on", but it's not - there's no icon, and no phone can find mine.
And if I try to send anything via Bluetooth, it almost immediately says "Sending cancelled".
SEUS can't help, as I already have the latest T-Mobile branded firmware. If I debrand using WotanServer, and the upgrade, might that help? And would that invalidate my warranty?
Thank you people
Martin

have you checked the 'Visibility' menu, and checked that it says 'Show Phone'?

hi and welcome
this sounds like a bug. if your k800 is under warranty, you prolly will get a new one.

My K800i bluetooth worked fine under T-Mobile branded firmware.

Thanks guys...
yeah visibility is set correctly, so a bug it is.
I have downloaded Wotanserver simply because if upgrading to the latest non-branded software might fix the bug, then it would be way less hassle than sending the thing off to T-Mob for at least 2 weeks...!
Worth a shot, or advise against it..?

Dont deal with T Mobile, get in touch with Sony Ericsson customer service direct, they are much quicker to sort problems out under warranty & a lot better to deal with.
