> is it worth changing my p990i to a n95?
Bookmark topic
I have been browsing some sites, and the n95 caught my eyes. Having had my p990i, for the past few weeks i'm fairly disappointed about the comments i've been reading concerning the bugs that the phone came with. On the other hand i love the camera, flash(most of all). What i'm concerned about, is the flash of the n95 good as the p990i one? I've also read some bad comments about the short battery life that the nokia n95 got, though i like the fact that the n95 got 800.11g/b wifi while the p990i got only 800.11b.
Guys i'm desperate, need for suggestions!!

@kleyzam
No one can really decide for you a lot depends on what you need or want, if you enter a lot of data on a daily basis and need a touch screen then obviously the P990 would suit your needs best. But if you want mainly mail and web browsing along with Calendar and the ability to open Documents mainly to read. Along with a stunning Music Player and Video player with 16 million colour screen the N95 would suit you best as well as HSDPA for faster Data transfers. I think mine is great and love it as a Multimedia smart phone.

having used both, id say battery life is very similar. p990 MIGHT have been a tad better. but i only had n95 for a week, so the battery might have gotten better, i dont know!

hello mate, have you researched the n95 regarding bugs?
ive done work for several mobile companys such as voda & o2..when i got chatting to there staff who all had the n95 at the time as it was new they all pretty much said the same thing which was, its a great phone but there full of bugs & some had been through several handsets. some bugs were like the bluetooth didnt work!? anyways these bugs may all be ironed out now just thought id mention it.
personally i think nokia n95 is quite bulky & cheap feeling in quality...

@Cos
Just how long ago was that? as branded handsets are nearly always the last to get updates and branded firmware rarely gives the best results either. Although i did believe that 02 did minimal branding looking around the Forums many of their users seem to have problems with early units. The newer firmware has resolved a lot of those earlier issues, i am running V11 Firmware and have no problems at all with how my device behaves. As for build quality and how looks and feels that may well be your opinion but many of us that own and use don't agree as otherwise we wouldn't of bought it and it wouldn't be a top selling device either.

hey dogmann, no offence mate just my opinion
always prefered build quality of SE over NOKIA, had many nokia phones before making the switch some years back.
and to be honest, the sales staff i spoke to in o2/voda stores in london was probably about couple months ago i think..
im sure there must have improved fw & sorted out initial bugs, was only pointing out to our friend asking the question to check as p990 may have some bugs but whats to say n95 doesnt?
everyone is different and have different tastes of course, i did even contemplate buying the n95 because i love gadgets and n95 is packed with alot of goodies but it just didnt feel right for me. regarding build quality i did notice some of the sales staff n95's look a bit faded in places and the slider seem to feel loose compared to ones out the box.
although the people i spoke to with the n95, majority loved there phones.
anyways these are just my experiences of chatting to o2/voda sales staff and my opinions...not looking to start a nokia bash thread

i would pick the N95, no doubts at all
It is smaller, the camera is a bit better, you get HSDPA and both Wifi b and g.

In my opinion, N95 is much better than P990i.
1. Feature: GPS, 5M camera, WIFI g/b, EDGE, and HSDPA.
2. software: a lot of applications. now, s60 has teens new application every month vs uiq only has one or 2 new every month.
