Is it safe?
What precautions should I know before updating it?
I'm afraid that my P990i would end up dead updating it through SEUS.
My P990i firmware is still R9EC001 w/ a CDA CDA162008/59
Any comments or suggestions? Thanks!!!

Back-up your phone using the SE application, download the update software, and off you go.
Note the update software is downloaded to your PC before it updates the phone, so even a dodgy internet connection can't cause problems.
I did it only 2 nights ago, and as long as you follow the instructions to the letter, i had a trouble-free update.
I was worried, but honestly for nothing, as far as i know unless your power goes down during the update, there should be no problems. Not an issue as i used my laptop! and live in a civilised area with no power outages.
I was of the opinion 'don't fix what ain't broke' but needed to update to run fring.. And it all works a treat.
