I can't really decide which one's better...
W580 is a lot thinner, but W850's key backlighting pulses in time with the music. On the other hand, it seems that W580 takes better pics.
Speaking of keypad backlighting, both have awesome!

I like the whole hidden camera thing, it's smart design IMO. My Samsung Z400V has a hidden camera but my
V630i is flush mount with no cover, which is at least better than the old K700i sunken lens which collected alot of lint.

The first picture of W580 given
Pop Lover shows that the JPEG compression algorithm is still tad too high and is similar to the one applied to K610,Z610,W710,W850,S500 and probably W910 and K530 which are all good for a newbie's eye and bad for those who discerns the real image quality phonewise. and the first picture also shows purple fringing in low light shots which means it exhibits the same K610 camera issue though it's less discernable compared to the latter
if not overprocessed those furple fringing things were excessive noise. seems like SE is leaving away the good camera quality in their non-camera centric phones. even though K850 already has the megabass eq which were found on K750 and is missing on K850. i do hope that the camera quality of the new Walkmans (i.e. W910) will be the same as the W700 quality...

W850 seems so big and bulky compared to W580
I love thin phones, and lately SE has produce very cool ones (W880, W580, T650)
