So I set up an imap email account and set it push all my mail and it works perfect.
One thing I've noticed, though, is that as I have set it to "Push mail is always on" my globe icon on my main screen is continually lit. Does this mean that I am continually online and will be billed for it? Or is it every time a new email pushes to me I will be billed for just that? I assume the lit globe is to just remind me that push is on continually but I want to make sure I'm not being charged for continual use.

You can see in the log for that data account how much data that has been sent.
I'm not sure, but I think there is a setting in the exchange server for heartbeats, I think the standard is some sort of heartbeat communication every 15 minutes or so, a couple of kb's worth of data.

Yeah I think it's idling technically so I'd assume if I didn't receive any emails all day that the KB useage would be far less than if I was checking the emails manually every 30 minutes.
