You may know this but it is really cool. You can lock your secret videos, pics, sounds using a simple java app.like 'file lock'and then move them to the 'other' directory in your phone which actually holds your unrecognized files. And then unlock it there. This keeps the media there unlocked. Now you can wieve them. Anytime you want. Now the media player cant find them. (they are not shown in the media player) Now your secrets are hidden for watchfull eyes.

OK ! here we go.
STEP 1; get 'file lock' (a simple java app. that protects your items like images, videos and sounds behind a password) you can get it on wap.getjar.com for free.
STEP 2; open file lock, set a password. it will ask u to grant access to the read/write user data. allow it.
now u can see yor phone memory (c:/)and
memory stick(e:/)
STEP 3; Nevigate to directory where the media u want to pswd.protect is located. (eg. e:/MSSEMC/media files/videos/video01.mp4) where video01.mp4 is the vid. u want to lock. highlight it. go to more(right soft key) press 'lock', again grant acces. when finished close the app.
STEP 4; Now go to file manager, find the file u locked. move the file to one of the 2 drives(c:/or e:/). it will automatically be moved to the 'others' directory of the selected drive. now it will be there, u cant wieve them until u unlock it.
STEP 5; Now follow the steps from 2 to 3 until u unlock it. (remember now the file is in the 'others' not in 'videos'
thats it! now the media player cant find it because it never chek 'others' for videos and sounds, neither we. hope this can help.
by the way im from MALDIVES.

I think it was way more simple by using opera mini mod's built in file manager to hide the file property. Cheers...

With MobyExplorer is easy.
Open
e:/
videos:/
nameofvideo.mp4 then click
Menu >
Actions >
Rename and delete dot ->
nameofvideomp4
You can hide this file :
Menu >
Properties > mark
Hidden and nobody cann't see this file.

Read again my post !
With MobyExplorer when change extension of file - Media player cann't find.
1. Change extension of file nameofvideo
.3gp > nameofvideo3gp , nameofvideo
.mp4 > nameofvideomp4 .......
2. Menu > Properties > mark Hidden
And nothing cann't open or see this file ( only MobyExplorer , hacked Opera mini , Minicomander... )

Hidden and nobody cann't see this file.
I think it's easier to do with opera mini modded file managers coz you just set the file properties to hidden and you can move it anywhere you like without having to rename it first coz you have to add the dot to view the file. Opera can encrypt files too...

When using Opera Mini 2.05,
I dont understand the hide file part of this application.
I select the folder/song I want to hide and 'save' however when I go to check if it works, it doesnt seem to at all.
Is there any additional options needed to select such as 'read' or 'write'. The program allows you to hide files right?
If anyone is bothered could they briefly right a step by step guide?
Some other questions I have in mind:
- After the files have successfully been hidden, can they be viewed on the computer via cable?
- Are there any risks involved in these sort of applications? such as loss of file, master reset automatically etc?
thanks alot
