Can somebody that owns both the P1 and the P990 measure the size of the screens and let me know if they are exactly the same?
I want to order an invisible shield for the P1, but it is not available yet, so I assumed that the one for P990 may fit (http://www.shieldzone.com/item_description/SONERCP990I.html).

The fit of these is usually very tight, so the screens have to match perfectly.

Thanks a lot.

From what I an see on the site there is not an invisible sheild for the m600 - which would have been the one I would have recommended, because as far as I know the screen on the m600 is exactly the same size as on the p1i.

However, I would also advise looking at other sites such as Martin Fields which do offer a m600 size protector which in reviews are said to be as clear as the brand new screen without a protector.

They even offer one now for P1!

Has anybody tried Martin Fields? Is it as good as the invisible shield?

I have always used Martin Field protectors since P900 and they worked for me great. Have ordered them for P1 too.

I've used MF in the past and they are great, just ordered one for the p1i gotta wait for it. Would of bought an invisible shield one if they had it, but MF is top quality.

I have the P990, M600 and now, a P1 and their screens are all slightly different. The P990's screen is physically larger so screen protectors for that phone won't work. Although the screen on the M600 and the P1 are theoretically the same size, the corners of the P1 screen are rounded so there may well be an issue getting the M600 protectors to fit, especially if they go right up to the edges.

I bought a Martin Fields P1 screen protector and have not been too impressed. The size is just a fraction too big and go right up to and slightly beyond the edges so that you have to actually press the screen down to let the protector slip between the screen and the metal frame of the phone. This in itself is not too much of a problem but since it is impossible to get rid of all the dust at the extreme edges of the screen (due to the edge of the frame), it means there is a noticeable amount of dust trapped under the extreme edges of the protector. The P1 pack also comes with a screen protector for the camera lens but why would anyone ruin the lens of the camera by sticking a piece of plastic (with only 90% light transmission and UV filtering effects) over it??! Would you stick a bit of plastic over the lens of your normal camera? Didn't think so!!

i find the MF protector to be excellent, perfect fit, dont notice it there. Better fit than the P990 and M600 versions. Cant get my nail underneath it anywhere, need selotape to get it up.

cam one is great as it does what its meant to, not a photo guy so dont notice the effect on photos.

I suppose what I need is a second protector so that I can peel off the first one together with all the horrible dust and then immediately stick the second one onto the beautifully clean screen! Come to think of it, I did buy 2 so this is now a tempting option. The dust really gets on my nerves!
