They have been going for years.

Anyone know what T-mobile's policy on unlocking their phones is?

I know Virgin will unlock for free as long as you've topped up with at least £30.

And O2 will unlock for £15

Only via a code provided by the network its locked to currently.

Some Sony Ericsson's can be unlocked by patching the firmware, but next time you upgrade the firmware, the locks come back.
