****go to page 2 of thread****

Ok, got my upgrade in 3 weeks and really wanna get the best phone for me... below i will list the needs and what im looking for:

*pda style - soemthing i can potentially use in the house/work to surf the web and pother things (so prob better to be symbian based)
*Camera with flash
*large memory (can be via memory card
*touch screen pref
*something that aint a nightmare to text on (as i send a few)

Id like it to be SE as i do prefer their phones, although im willing to exoperiment here so a nokia or even an SPV may be more suitible?!?!

im lost, totally... i dont mind waiting a week or two after the end of the month, but not any longer as im gagging for a new phone and will want to upgrade as soon as pos

chhers all and any comments are welcome

imo p1 keypad is far better then p990 ( thats impossible to use imo ). so if u like the m600 way of typing, u ll like p1 too. if u have the cahnce, pop in a mobile shop and play around with it a bit, how it fits your needs and how it feels at usage

i really really dont want the iphone.......

so thats out of the equation

@boba, thx dude, i will pop into a shop, but first i need to decide on a few to try but youre spot on there and the p990's keypad does look quite scary.....

anyone have much to say about the SPV's tho? M700 and M3100?

P990's keypad does look scary but that's why it has the flip! I always text using the flip on T9 as on a normal phone or if I wanna show off I write on the screen as I am quite fast now (roughly 3wpm)

For me the P1i only has the extra Mega Pixel over the P990 and you are stuck with the QWERTY, I ain't saying that that's a bad thing it just might not suit you!

As Boba said get into a shop and have a play with yourself that way you'll know for sure which you like best!

Although I haven't seen a P990 in a shop for a while!

Regards,
Nanu

EDIT: balls to it Lee, get yourself a BB!

lol, thx nanu! nicely explained there i noticed the p990 is off the orange website - eeeeek! that may narrow it down somewhat lol!

have you tried an SPV nanu?

i dunno why, but the p1 doesnt appeal to me that much, although as both you and boba have said, i need to try them out really

not sure if im rewady for the switch to blackberry yet nanu, although, im shocked that Tmag aint been trying to flog me one
