Anyone know an application that can open extract zip or/and rar files. Password protected files as well if possible?

if you want to zip files yourself with password protection, you could zip the files up, copy to the phone, then use fileprotect to encrypt/decrypt the zip file. Then use fileprotect to decrypt the file when you want to uncompress it.
file protect is a java app for encrypting files (find it at getjar)
