hmmmm, what i gathered from that review is that the p1i can do everything the nokia can...... only dif is that the web browsing is probably easier due to the screen (inner one)...

@leeboy13

If that really is what the review said it must be really badly researched article if not maybe you haven't heard it properly as the differences between the two are massive. Quite simply one is the most powerful Symbian smart phone to date and the other just isn't. They really are chalk and cheese the only things they have in common are 3.2 mega pixel camera and 128mb Ram the rest of the specs bar a touch screen all go to the E90 I'm afraid is the reality.

marc - yes thats what the review said, it doesnt seem like a very well thought out review to me tbh. we all no the e90 is the master of all smartphones at the moment. yes the p1i is good. but its not that good. they seemed to talk about the size more then anything else, which of course the p1i will win, but thats the only aspect it will.

I haven't read the review.

What can the E90 do that the P1 can't?

I know Marc, the E90 has HSDPA and is faster but that has more to do with technical specs than capabilities.

Never been a fan of any of the Nokia Communicator products. They can be as powerful as they want as far as I'm concerned.

I used a Nokia E90 for about a week, then gave it up for a P1i. It's way to big to keep comfortably in the pocket, and it doesn't have a touch screen. No doubt browsing on the large screen is cool and it is super fast, but it didn't fit the definition of a truly "mobile" device as far as I'm concerned!

That's the reason why I've never really liked the communicator devices. Just a tad too big to be really portable devices for my liking. They could make them powerful enough to run a power station and I still wouldn't want one as a mobile phone, which still remains one of the key operations for me (ie it's a phone).

It's not that I have anything against Nokia either, in fact I like their other phones. If it wasn't for the bugs and battery life I may have opted for the N95 over the P1i, plus O2 let me have the P1i for free when compared to the £90 they wanted for an N95.

I had written a nice although long answer for you but it appears to have disappeared into the ether. I am really not up to doing it all again but once i am a little better will be more than happy to answer the question for you but there are a lot of really big and major differences to be taken into account.
