Does the alarm on the P1 not work when the phone is switched off? Or am I missing a setting somewhere?

TIA

Ok Thanks for that - I was that used to turning my K800 off when going to bed and the alarm still working!

yeah, its been a complaint here since the days of the P800

the usual suggestion, of course, is to switch to fight mode

Does the time application need to be open for the alarm to work?

what i dont like is the fact that the p1i wont play a sound if the whole phone is muted. that s a bit dangerous because i often forget to switch of the mute setting.

But if the phone is on mute then surely it must not make any noise! If you forget to switch the sound back on then you can't blame the phone or more importantly, expect it to read you mind as to whether or not it should make any sound!

Amen to that...unless there's an option on the alarm to force a ring even in mute. Thought I haven't found that yet on the P1i.

yes i dont want to have a phone i cant rely on if it is muted or not, but an option on the alarm to force a ring even in mute would be quite nice (like the behaviour of the k750)
