hi all
have had p800, p900, p910 and p990 for donkeys, never had any problems troubleshooting until now.
got an m600i work phone on t-mobile that I'm trying to run SEUS on to debrand and upgrade firmware.
problem is, holding down C doesn't sort it, just boots up as normal, kinda. I'm taking battery out, unplugging usb, putting battery back in, holding C then plugging in USB. thing is i get the tmobile logo on boot - when i use the p990 it just starts black.
have tried cam button, phone syncs so i assume COM ports are ok, have turned off USB charging and have also done a master reset.
i've used a p990 on the same cable and that is picked up by SEUS, I'm running Vista to I assume that means it's all properly installed and working, but I originally tried an XP machine and same thing, m600i just boots up to battery light screen and then doesn't seem to install the port.
Just can't get the M600i into that Master Port mode malarky which allows it to update.
Pleeeaaaaaaaasssssseee ??? =)
Anyone got any ideas ? I'm getting desperate...

anyone?
Should it even show the Startup logo as it's booting with the C key held ?

please... anyone who's had this, it's driving me insane:
m600i:
Phone: R9A002
Bluetooth: R3A01
Org: R4C01
CDA: R5A02
Restarting using both the C key and the @ key, just boots up to charge screen with T-Mobile startup screen, it never enters the firmware update mode.
USB set to phone mode, Charging switched off and battery full.
Is there anything else I should be checking?
Have a P1i too and that updates fine on same box.
Could TMobile have locked it so it doesn't allow fw updates?!

I was having some problems initializing SEUS back a month ago. Oh, well, you'll have to try until it works.
Battery doesn't have to be full just... charged enough.. to endure the upgrading process.
Just remember, you have to switch the phone off, reinsert the battery and plug the usb cable into your phone while holding the C button.
Note: You have to hold the C button even after that until you get additional commands on the screen.
Note 2: you need to have the phone's drivers installed on the computer.
Note 3: Don't turn the phone on after reinsterting the batter.

yep thanks.. doing all that the same as i am the P1i but when the P1i boots, you get a black screen then it installs the drivers and works.
WIth the M600 it ALWAYS brings up the TMobile boot screen, even if it then sits with the battery icon and nothing else, I don't think it's trying.
Is there no way of telling the phone when booted to restart in this service mode?
When I look at the SIM Locks I have:
Network 5
Network Subset 5
Service Provider 5
Corporate 5
SIM 5
Whereas my P1i doesn't have the Service Provider and Corporate locks, even though all seem open. Can this be to do with it?

my m600 always displayed a blue screen when updating fw. it also allowed me to update without pressing any buttons when plugging in the usb.
i think it would show the t-mobile icon as it loaded tho.
as for your problem - have you taken the sim card out? Tried turning usb charging off?
