> P1i FM Radio Bypass?

Just wondering if anyones heard of or found a bypass so the radio will work even without the handsfree earphone plugged in. I'm just kind of annoyed when I want to listen to FM but dont' happen to have the handsfree with me. Maybe there's a device out there that fakes out the phone or emulates an antenna. Anyone know?

Every single phone needs to have the earphones plugged in, they use them as an aerial. I know it's a pain and manufacturers should look to build them in but how many radios do you know with tiny built-in aerials? They all have pull-out jobbies.

Well I beg to differ cause they do it on MP3 players regularly which are about the same size. My Cowon iAudio X5 has one built in and the reception is superb. THen again, maybe the construction of a phone doesn't allow for such a setup. Still....

But you do use your headset on your mp3 player dont you? That is your antenna for the radio. The radio wont work without it

I find the radio reception pretty rubbish unless the cord is straightened out and extended. I'd like DAB radio on my mobile! All the FM stations in the UK play chart music and it sucks.

my K750 has a radio patch - that is, the radio can be turned-on even without the handsfree. but then again, i still need to use the handsfree because all i hear is "hiss" without it.
