Hi all,

For reporting on a radiostation I want to prepare my SE P1 for a seperate microphone. I did this with a nokia phone in the past and it worked fine. To do this with my P1 i need to have a Seperate (spare) fast port connector which i can solder my own wires.

I've searched everywhere but it is VERY hard to find a spare one.

Anyone know where I can buy one ? Doesn't matter for me where it in the world is so long I can buy it online.

You can buy a cheap damaged (not the Fastport) Se and take it off that one. AFAIK they're the same on all SEs So it should work on your P1

Thanks guys..but I think I described it wrong

I need the male part of it..not the female side so realy the connector. I know I can buy a cheap haedset but thats not working very well. I realy need to solder a (qualityt) connector.

Anyone more suggestions?

Found a connector but the shipping costs are VERY expensive..

A data cable only costs 8 euro's...but how do I know if the pens that I need are wired in the conncetor (microphone/audio output). Is that usual for a data cable?

With other words....is there a function on the computer that can use the audio outpunt/microphone ? So a reason to be connected in the wire?

You know for sure that all the wires in the cable are connected? Is that usual with a data cable?

Not all the wires are connected inside. The DCU60 uses 4 wires for the pins it is meant to be (data transfering and 3.3V power supply). So you can reconfigure the wires for your own needs. You need scheme what pin is for what so you can configure the wires to suit your needs.

Yes indeed..I 've seen the scheme of the cable and only 4 wires are connected on the usb connector side. BUT I don't know if all the wires are connected on the other side.

With other words...If I cut the wire in half it is possible that there are only 4 wires in the cable.

Someone has an old cable

Yes there are 4 wires in the cable which are connected in the fastport connector. As I said not all the pins are connected I meant there are no 10 wires to connect each to a pin. The 4 wires inside are connected to 4 pins. Other pins are free.
