Why oh why does the P1i not scale photos to fit MMS messages??? I am unable to send photos to people because the P1i cannot send them properly! Also, it seems I cannot receive them either despite having the correct network settings. Can anyone shed any light on these two problems because this, finally, is a deal breaker for me. I need to be able to send my photos.

I don't know with P1i (as I don't have it), but with P990i, there's an option in MMS Settings (Advanced settings) where in you could set the MMS Creation mode to either Free (as is), Warning, or Restricted (will automatically resize image to standard MMS size)

may be P1i has this option too?

You say it's been mentioned in several threads. I specifically looked back over many pages of threads before posting and didn't see any entitled P1i MMS. Please don't make out than I'l lazy for not searching, I can't be expected to read every single page of every single thread just in case somebody mentions something off-topic!

I find the user's guide absolutely terrible. It glosses over things. I'm not an SE expert, I'm a Nokia man and this is my first SE phone so I'm not used to the way they do things. I've just managed to lose the messages stored on my SIM too! Grrr. I highlighted them all and then selected copy to contacts, it then asked me to specify a folder so I typed 'Inbox' as the name for a new folder. I then saw on the screen "deleting messages" and that was that, I can't find them anywhere. Some had information and phone numbers etc that were very important!

@sunking101, appologies, but it is mentioned 3 or possibly 4 times within just the P1 bugs thread which is where I would probably start if I think something is a bug.

as for manuals, you are right, SE manuals are not the best but as a tip, can I suggest my method which is to use the PDF version since it is searchable

Here is the P1 support page where you can download the manual and other stuff too

enjoy the P1, its now my fav device

Masseur,

I wouldn't class it as a bug, I just thought it was normal P1i behaviour (even though I didn't like it). I have spent hours searching these posts for answers to questions I have, believe me. Thanks for the pdf link.

When sending a MMS the internet icon flashes on the screen. Is this supposed to happen? I've looked in the manual and can't tell. Previous phones have never connected to the internet in order to send a picture message (or not that I know of).
