hi guys,
is there any application that can start other applications automatically once we select certain applications from a list??
And this main application shud be able to startup automatically once the phone is started and therefore the apps start automatically too????
something like bootman i guess but bootman does not start automatically.........

this qustion was asked last week here and there bootman was also suggested but no actual software has been offered that can do this.

indeed on the cellphonesoft bootman site it says

In UIQ3 firmwares released after January, 2007 access has been made restricted to system functions used for autostart. The change affects all programs that use these functions for boot-time execution, including BootMan. As a consequence, BootMan can not start other programs at boot-time on phones with such firmware installed.

which suggests that other such software will also have the same issue

blackberry connect also auto starts as I understand (though I don't use it myself)

maybe Lisa@CPS can shed some light on this though if it was a simlpe job for developers I'm sure they would have amended Bootman to support the feature again

Quite surely because it is Symbian Signed.

im sure we can set other apps as system apps
May be, but our developer was unable to find out how to do it to other apps (not the one being programmed).
