Right i sold my w880 on but now i have been landed with it back apparantly it wont turn on. On close inspection the sticker on the battery is red showing water damage. Now clearly he has been trying to turn it on while it has been water damaged now i put a good battery in and the screen back light just comes on nothing else on the screen. Now my question is what do i do next to get this working the sticker on the phone shows no water damage any suggestions please thanks

K750i screens have a habit of going white if they have taken a knock so this could be the probleml with the W880i, a loosening of the cable which connects the screen to the PCB.

If it is water damaged as wasnt before then dont take it apart, just send it straight back to him. Its his fault. Are you sure it is the same W880i that you sent him? He could be trying to pull a fast one.

Well if the phone is water damaged it would be a good idea to kake it apart and let it dry out completely or with a hairdryer ASAP before too much corrosion sets in. You'll probably need a torx screw driver. I know a couple of members here have modded their W880i so they might be able to help with the dismantling.

Yeah pretty sure its the one i sent him just too let you know he has tried charging it when it had dodge bat in so this has probably killed it when used with another batt you can see the screen has power but displays nothing not even white

2 screws under rubber feet at back, by camera/speaker. Other two are underneath the sticker on the front...You need to dry it out absolutely, or even power going through it will cause corrosion...Sorry to be so brief!
