What types of movie does the P1i supports? I encoded a sample clip (divx avi) but dont know how to play it, the P1i doesnt seem to support it and dont know which player or software to use.

some people have been using it without complain including me.
it have been converting videos nicely for my W550 and K800.
nevertheless it should also work for P1i without any single problem.
for me, i use .mp4 format (mp4 codec) instead of .3gp because i realise that the video size is slightly smaller.
if you're interested to use it.
i would tell the "settings" that satisfying me so far...

well, im using K8 but the TS has not mentioned whether he had use super or not. but i believe the K8 and P1 are not having quite same video playback size and quality.
as for me, from the above:
MP4, MP4 Codec, AAC
320x240, 4:3, 30fps, 288kbps, hi quality, top quality and 48K audio.
48khz, 2ch, 128kbps.
actually stretch-it is also good option, but i don't want the picture to be stretched so that the quality remain as standard.
so far im satisfied with the results....

do you have DivX player on ur P1i? Because thats what you need to play avi on your smartphone,you need to download DivX PLayer or Smartmovie to play avi files

I've just encoded a nice mp4 clip using 29.97fps and 320x240 resolution. 128kbit soundquality and it plays really well. Quite nice I must say.

the p990 supports the xvid codec in super, so select mp4 as container, and xvid as the codec. much nicer quality.

I also encoded an MP4 video using xilisoft dvd to iphone and it plays well, problem is I cant "seek" the movie, whenever I seek it goes back to the beginning. Well, anyways, ill try again tonight.
