Ok, im after a new TV and need some reccomendations and also good places to buy.

I have one criteria that is going to stump you all though but i DONT want a flat screen, dont ask me why, i just dont like them!

Richer Sounds offer good deals on TV's as do Empire Direct.

really confused why you dont want a LCD, as there is less to go wrong, and there better quality! and of course they take up loads less room!

your bound to get a good deal on a tube tv as shops are dieing to get rid of them so check your local Euronics centre as well and barter them down!!!

To be honest i hardly ever watch TV so the quality isnt really an issue and the positioning of my TV at the minute means a flat screen would look odd, plus as you say, with everyone keen to get rid of their CRT's im hoping to pick up a reasonable deal

JJ, it may be better to get an LCD only because alot of them have freeview built in and in the next year or so, britain is changing to digital, so old tv's will be useless unless you have a digi box, but I find them to be pants lol.

well i know someone with a Sony CRT 'flat' 32'' with a built in freeview tuner that works well. will try and get the model number...
