> Do I have a prototype P1i!
Bookmark topic
When I turn my phone on I see a popup (similar to sending/sent SMS/Starting CCPU) to the top right that says
Code: "StatusSMS [ON]"
Followed by the usual interference through speakers experienced when sending a SMS, which once complete this appears
Code: "StatusSMS [SENT]"
I passed over this thread
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=141066 where the conclusion seems to be that they have a prototype. Just wondering if anyones got any ideas whats going on here, or if someone else has seen this behaviour and knows a little more about it!

After spending a silly number of hours on this, I came to some odd conclusions,
1) I couldn't "Continue anyway" in SEUS (apparently prototype behaviour)
2) DVT identified my phone as RED, this goes against the whole prototype idea
3) Another poster on this forum said the phone may be stolen (I hope not!) but I don't see how that fits in with the phone sending out the statusSMS. I could see where this was coming from with SEUS not accepting the phone (Doing an IMEI and/or Product serial check?)
Well, I tried SEUS on another machine and the magical "Continue anyway" has appeared, updating at the moment. Hope that if anyone else gets in this situation this thread can help, assuming they remember to search

Prototype phone dont have to be Brown, they can be RED also. What is your IMEI number? If it begin 0046 then it is a proto.

Ah, interesting to note. The IMEI starts in 35 like all other SE phones I've owned (That I still have access to). When SEUS had finished re-flashing, I no longer see StatusSMS[on/sent] appear, neither do I see CCPU Watcher popup.
Do you or anyone else see any popups in the top right of the screen just after the standby screen appears? (Top rightish, like when a SMS is sent/sending). Almost worried that I'm now not seeing CCPU watcher, worried now that the whole thing has just hidden itself but is still there!
Edit: I don't want to risk getting another bill with 40 pounds added on top of it again that I didn't spend myself, suppose I should go get a payG sim tomorrow to help me find out. (Orange doesn't let you view your current months balance)
Anyone know of a network giving out free payG sims at the moment (That can be picked up in store)?
