if i remember right you can pair your macbook with your phone over bluetooth and during the setup/pairing the mac should offer you the options of modem use when it detects the capabilities of the handset, worked for me with a nokia n70, there are some places on the net for the required "scripts" to enable various aspects of the features if it not work out of the box

System preferences---Network---New Location -- dialing number --*99***01#

then save, as long as your phone is paired up it should connect. (it does for me anyway!)






you may need to put the APN in your phone too,

Menu--Tools--Settings--Connection--Packet Data--Access Point
