This is already posted in the general, general forum and i need an answer to

Ok I have had the motorola L6 for just over a year now it was a birthday present i had to get as i put my previous one in the wash. I have a stable job so i can top up my phone on PAYG with orange but rarely use my phone to contact people and for a while has been my alarm clock but the battery seems to last only a short while when using the alarm turning the phone off each night and so have been looking at other phones and the Sony Ericsson W810i caught my eye on orange after seeing reviews on my L6 and the W810i and have fallen even deeper for the W810i but wondering if anyone can help justify the need for a new phone when i have an MP3 player and will proably replace soon for a new sony mp3.

Please help as i am having a battle with myself over this.

Also would it make sense to buy from the carphone warehouse and maybe not get it in white for cheaper and top up later or to get it on orange?

there is no basis for comparison b/w these two phones! Secondly, your thirst for good battery will be quenched well by the 810 than ur previous l6. And we all know about its mp3 player!!!
but personaly i would advise u to go for th new W610........
Decision is yours

the w810i is way better than the L6: better screen, 2 megapixel autofocus cam, mp3 player, memory card capabilities and EDGE. and besides i looks way better than an L6. though like sunils120 i would advise you get the newer w610i

i would go for the 810 all the way. the 810's specs are way better than the L6's.

W810 is surely a huge step up from the L6, but for the reason and comments the OP gives I would say to stay with what you have as you don't appear to need anything more

Yeah . . . you just CANNOT compare the W810i with that of the L6 . . . I guess NOT even with that of the Motorola V3i . . . Will SURELY go with the W810i here . . .

Since you only care about battery life you should upgrade but not necessarily to a W810. Something simpler is just fine, like a Z520.
