Ok i have about £110 to spend on a phone and was looking at the carphone warehouse for what they had and was about to buy the SE W810i when i saw the W850i for £10 more it has better battery life and 3G but is only triband. So what i would like to know is should i get the W810i or the W850i ir a different SE walkman phone for about £110 from the Carphone warehouse on orange preferably

Check the specs of both, like battery life etc, and chose the one that suits you best...

Duh, the W810. It is 100x cheaper, has a better camera and better buttons (the best ever buttons on a phone)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the only thing the W850 has over the W810 is a better screen and 2 (:w:1 looks nicer anyway)

If the cam is important then W810, if it's just the tunes and 3G then W850. Also design needs to be considered........slider or candy??

W810 has better sound quality. If 3G is an ABSOLUTE necessity, then go for the W850. If not, the W810 is the way to go.

2 does not increase sound quality, it just brings in trackid and album art.

But W810's are well known for the 'hissing'. Not sure if W850 has this problem.

It does mate. I've used one.
However, my cousin's 810 has no hissing.

Well the Camera is not important as i have a sony Cybershot 6MP digital Camera but the auto focus is a plus on the W810i. 3G can come in handy if my plans go well bu ti mean general use i will also use it as an alarm clock so i don't know how badly that will drain the battery
