Hi,

sorry if this has been asnswered before, I can't seem to find it on here.

I have just bought a SE M600i and would like to set up push e-mail from my hotmail to the phone.

Can this be done? If so, what is the best way? I find the info on the net a bit confusing about it all. I've seen some push e-mail clients that you have to pay for.

Also, I don't know where to find the POPs adresses etc for hotmail to put into the phone.

I'd be really grateful for any help.

Thanks

i don't know about other Push e-mail solutions but currently i use Consilient for accessing my Hotmail account on my m600. it quick and pretty easy to setup and you dont need information on POP settings to set it up.

Push email does not work with hotmail, you best bet will be to try to get on seven mail to push your mail.

Create a mail2web.com account and forward your incoming hotmail to that adress, then install Exchange Active Sync on your phone and set it up with your mail2web account.

Once you install mail2web, you will lose PC Suite connection.

Thanks for all your help!

I downloaded consilient. It works quite well, although I'm not sure how badly the battery is being drained by leaving the Consilient Java application running in the background.

Cheers

You can upgrade your Hotmail account to a Hotmail PLUS account and use the blackberry solution for UIQ3 handsets instead?

Worked a treat when I ran BlackBerry Connect on my M600i/W950i/P990i handsets.

Once set-up, entering your email and password will automatically configure the server settings for BlackBerry.
