Hi, i have been having problems reading some of my emails on my p1i phone.

I use IMAP with scheduled pickup everyu hour. (no push email).

When i receive an email sometimes it displays correctly and sometimes the entire email is empty.

Have tried different settings such as "download only message headers" and "download entire message" and have even toggled the HTML message display without success.

I belive the problematic empty emails are normal text emails and when i check the size of the email in the phone it displays 1k or more. When logging in on my email provider or using my PC email client the messages are shown correctly.

Anyone have a similar problem with emails?

/F

Yes. Not on the p1 yet, but I've seen it happen before when the mail is in multi- part mixed format, with an empty mime- encoded message, and a plain text attachment. Some mail programs (not mentioning names here) insist on this if you add a letter at one point with a different charset than standard, or if you've touched any of the buttons on the composition menu. Or have, for instance, once sent a html- mail to the recipient.

Meaning that the message really is displayed just about as it's supposed to - it just isn't marked properly, and the text falls off in the reader.

Maybe it's something else, though. Perhaps you can post the header of the mail that won't display, so we can have a look? I.e, the

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

lol. look at that. It's not the multi- part stuff, then.

..Maybe the phone's parser didn't expect more headers after some of the text, and then failed?

Imo, send it to customer support.
