I've had this particular k800 for about a month now. Recently the earspeaker has stopped working, I now have to turn on speakerphone if I want to hear someone on the other end of the line. The phone's insured for pretty much everything (even liquid damage!) so its not really a problem.
All I want to know is: is there any easy way to fix this that will help me avoid having to go through the tedious and phoneless 3 weeks it will take the insurance company to sort it all out.

Nah. I've never had that problem on my K800i.. but when I got a W610i... I did. Rang Orange, went through some diagnosis with them, but it was claer that the speaker was f**ked.
Is this a common thing I wonder?
Get it swapped out under warranty asap.
