I just ordered my corporate issue T-mobile Dash. I was thinking of buying a personal P1i to replace.

Question is: Has anyone ever done this with corporate email? Our desktop service is Microsoft Exchange Server, and I assume that we'll have some sort of Push service to our T-Mobile Dash.

Will the P1i be able to support? I don't want to blow boku bucks on a phone that I won't be able to swap in...

you'll miss the speed of EDGE since p1i is short of that feature. Unless you're always going to be under a jimmy hot spot, then you're covered

if u have a t-mobile hot spot.....u can call for free..(i think)

But T-mobile is soon (hopefully) going to realise their 3g network. so maybe it would be good since the P1i has 3g support.

Not sure if it supports american 3g.

Unfortunately I've been reading that T-mobile USA also has something called T-Mobile Internet + VPN.

If my exchange server at work is only visible from our intranet, I may need this to access my work email.

And I hear that BOTH T-Mobile USA GPRS and EDGE are really slow...

In California, T-mobile Edge (about 140 kbps) is faster than GPRS (about 36 kbps).
