im not sure if the cd that came from you p990i contains the SEUS application, if it does, just install that and when you launch SEUS it will automatically update to the latest version before you can actually update your phone.

I got the 990i today and thought I was going crazy on the SE update page. Way to go Sony. Perhaps they are updating the software?
I found a working link to an update service app here:

No guarantees, haven't tried it yet.

No, the 'normal' usage doesn't...
However, the 'customized' flashing procedure does
