Do you know if the P1i works with other network's SIMs? Iknow most O2 handsets do but smartphones are often a bit different. Has anyone tried any different SIM cards?

Eh? I don't understand that at all. I've tried scrolling clockwise one click, typing a star, scrolling anti-cw two clicks, typing another star and then scrolling anticlockwise again one click but I'm getting no menus!

this is the standard sequence on all SE phones for getting into the service menu
be sure to be on the standby screen when you start, and be sure to only move one click on the jog dial each time

It should do mate!!!
Jog Dial Up, *, Jog Dial Down, Jog Dial Down, *, Jog Dial Down, *
That should get you into the Service Menu, from there go into Service Information, SIM Locks, and as Masseur said the three padlocks should be open with a value of 5 on the right...
