> P990 Auto focus problem

Guys iv got a strange problem in my p990 phone.
Default functionality should be. when we click with auto focus on (Either Micro or Normal) auto focuses on the object. But this happens when we press little
bit of camera button.
But now when Itry to click the snaps, my p990 doesn't auto focuses. even tough when i press the button half.
But some times when open up the shutter the camera auto focuses without pressing the button.
If someone have faced similar problem please do help me....

Hm, sounds like broken / malfunctioning Hardware. You can try to reflash the phone and hope its a software fault that can be remedeed by that. Otherwise you have to get it repaired by SE if its hardware!

Is there any way like service menu which makes the checking of camera auto focus . as it dose for sound, vibration etc.

What is your firmware level? All levels before the last two had big problems with autofocus. (And the last firmware makes autofocus [almost] perfect, even in night mode.)
Is your phone still covered by warranty?
If so then I recommend taking the phone to a service center straight away.
If not then try upgrading to the latest firmware before you spend any money on hardware repair.

Is there any alternative button or Hidden button which dose the similar function of auto-focus and clicking the snaps..
And for firmware update which option should i select form the page
on page there is no clear indication of latest firmware...
