My browser is slow to load detailed pages such as newpaper sites. I have also (once) had the memory full message despite, like you, having nowhere filled my memory! My old N73 and N80 N-Series Nokias loaded these same sites MUCH quicker.

-switch the cache in opera to large (this will speed things up a little)
-free memory under more and status... is operating ram not storage...

-the nokia safari browser is just hands down faster then opera nothing can be done about that...

-try opera mini i found it to work quite well and use it an an alternative for the both my uiq and s60 phones...

-opera is working on version 9... and it looks to incorporate some features from opera mini..

What does increasing the cache do?

@sunking101:

It will reduce the need to load from the website server again, hence an apparent "fastness".

I agree with dragoneye, try opera mini 4, it load up a page so much faster, although there are still a few bugs in the program (I had difficulty signing in into hotmail before, it kept asking me for my password, etc)

cache is a temporary storage area where frequently accessed data can be stored for rapid access....meaning the sites you visit frequently will load faster to a point...
